First, I hear of the Way of Kings a few chapters back and now, at the start of chapter 15 "... as though Time's wheel had been stopped in its rut and turned itself back on."

As I read, I often see passages and imagery that I see in much later work like ASOIAF, Rothfuss, Sanderson, Jordan and also passages that clearly pay homage to Tolkien and I'm sure others (I haven't read nearly as much classic fantasy).

What a fun chapter (14). There were spots that reminded me of the tombs of atuan with Rachel sneaking around. Loved the POV shifts as we follow three characters navigating the castles. This book is going by too quickly!

I think this might be the longest book I've ever read but the pages are truly flying by. I just check and it definitely will be the longest at about 30000 words longer than Wind and Truth.
