It’s ramping up. The women are fighting and the man is dangerously delusional. British people gone wild. The beetle has yet to be found. I fear i’ll be sad once i finish this book. Finishing any story with characters i’ve become attached to hurts. They’re like friends i’ll never see again.

They’re inexperienced in expeditions, full of secrets and miscommunication. I appreciate the fact the characters aren’t entirely perfect. There’s a good balance of humor and seriousness. I’m also glad it never pisses me off.

Everybody’s stalking someone in this book. So far enjoying how different the two characters are and how they’re not always happy with each other.

Just two gals with secrets and traumas crossing several countries in search of a mythical beetle. Got me hooked from the start. It does not shy from death. Main character definitely has anxiety and a touch of the tism. I relate.
