Why are we going on a long tangent with Adam's life... like I couldn't give one iota about this guy???

If the Book Witches locked Alice in Wonderland to keep it safe, why didn't they lock all books?

Firstly, glad that Meg Shaffer rushed through the insta-love even more by summoning up a year of their relationship in a few sentences and breaking the "show no tell" rule. Secondly, why when Rainy is on her way to get Elizabeth back into her book she stops to fix up a small library, and I have to listen to the character 'name drop' a bunch of books she puts in it
