I would definitely say that these last 80 pages are the only ones that genuinely interested me enough to want to keep turning the page.

I think my biggest issue is that this wasn’t the book I thought I was picking up. I went in expecting a suspenseful, high-momentum speculative thriller (something closer to Kindred in terms of urgency), but this feels much more atmosphere and vibes than constant tension. It’s not bad, it’s just very different from what I was expecting.

Well… we might finally be getting somewhere. 😂 Something actually happened that’s making me want to keep turning the pages. My biggest complaint has been the lack of consistent momentum, so I’m really hoping the last 80-ish pages keep this pace instead of slowing down again. 🤞

About halfway through now, and honestly… this book is just okay. It has its interesting moments, but nothing has really grabbed me or made me need to keep reading. I was expecting a lot more based on all the hype, but so far it just feels-regular. Like throwing on a random Netflix movie in the background while you’re folding laundry. It’s not bad, but it’s not particularly good either.

Hmm I might take back that boring statement- we got to the action part and I’m liking it let’s see if we can keep this momentum going.

I’m a tad bit bored so far. I hope it gets better soon.
