forcing myself to take a pause from this series
it leave sme feeling out of sorts
bc i guess i cant help getting so invested in them
these characters and their situations
and mostly i think its due to the fact that i almost exclusively read romance books i know end with hea
this has been very bittersweet
and unsettling
and infuriating

the stupidity of these aliens just contradicts everything
how they can be so “advanced” to the point of being able to reach earth and take all these humans
and then basically experiment and breed them for generations

but i cant deny that its decent
and def ive read much worse slop
also
its the fact that i know there wont be a satisfactory conclusion-where the humans are free free and the aliens realize how stupid and awful theyve been as a whole for not realizing theyre clearly sentient

like here we have the fmc already a family of her own
kids and mates
it helps a bit ig that she’s so sweet and so are the others, mostly tranq
