I went into this book not really knowing what to expect, I just loved the title.
It’s written in/about the 1800s and I guess I thought it would be more of a nature diary. It seems that all the animals he’s known, he’s also tried to trap, maime or kill. Sure some die of a “natural” death - being hunted by predators or not surviving the elements - but I’m halfway through and wondering if I want to continue
