stayed up till 4am finishing IICHY.. I feel like the end dragged a bit, but the bookend ending was very very cute. And AHH. What a journey. Sad it’s over. Your honor I love them!!! Definitely the wildest fic I’ve ever read. Worse than the crow books I think, cos the contemporary (they’re even corporate lawyers) setting makes the bad stuff seem a lot more real. But alas. Brava writing!! Been an amazing ride.

Sucked in does not begin to describe how I feel reading this fic. I have so many feelings. Least of all recognizing some of Orla’s anxiety in myself even though I never really thought I had anxiety. Other issues absolutely. But refusing to take compliments and affection at face value, always believing the worst in every situation. Damn girl. (1/3)

LOOOving this fic. Sad it’s going so fast! I loved the author note that her MMCs are the true dark MMC. Like characters that conventional dark MMCs have to save the girl from. 😆 that’s so how I felt because characters like Rhysand and Xaden are totally just good guys that brood a lot and have dark hair 😆 Caleb and max though - IRL they belong in jail and or hell. In fantasy tho… 🫣

Ok back to tracking IICHY. Currently re-reading so I can read the comments after each chapter. Such strange MMCs. Like train wrecks I can’t look away from lol. I always felt like Xaden/Rhysand are not actually *dark* MMCs cos on screen they never actually do anything bad. I feel vindicated cos these MMCs are ASSHOLES and actually evil lol. But… that’s why we love them? 😬

Omg I took a break from IICHY to read this other story written by the same author cos there’s some crossover, and I absolutely devoured 250k words in 2 days. Did 0 work. That one is even more questionable than this one 😭😭 something is definitely wrong with me but I am so hooked with both fics lol. The second one is called bought and paid for and it’s fucked in every way but I liked it :>

(2/2) - the readers feel that some version of enemy to lovers is fated to happen or you can tell from the female character POV that there is attraction and she is not not consenting. Even in lights out I’m pretty sure the female character either always initiates it or he does wait for explicit consent. Anyway. Not so in this case. 😬 and ooh boy. 😬

Im sure something pathological is to be found here but I got sucked into this original worm stalker romance on AO3 and have been obsessed. I’ve been drawn to noncon elements in fanfics but in those fics, the characters have history and context in the readers mind (1/2)

(2/2) Feeling very grateful that this exists and while I don’t know I’ll ever pick up another Dramione I hope the author never stops updating this one. No matter how sparse the updates. 400k words of pure smut? Why not go for 800k!
