As a moderately charismatic person, I always forget how easily people fall for charisma… this lady is putting on the show of her life to gaslight him into continuing the trial and he’s just eating it up

Treating the clinical trial’s health journal as a diary is sort of insane but i guess he’s so self-flagellating he can’t be real with his friends about anything? Idk like you shouldn’t be pouring your heart out in what is meant to be a medical check-in from a sketchy company

The timeline is a bit of a mess… when is any of this happening

A vague and undefined symptom from the previous phase of the trial couched in a bunch of scientific terms… this definitely won’t come back to bite anyone! Also I think they lied about the diabetes to make him desperate. The mom is fishy too and a proven liar

so he got skinny enough for his tastes back then just to still be miserable inside & unwilling to improve his own quality of life… it’s almost like the weight was never the problem & poisoning yourself to be thin isn’t worth it!! gasp!!! I love when characters learn nothing 😍 jokes aside, this man expects happiness to fall in his lap & he still believes skinny will make it happen… a bit grown for that
