I envy and love their connection. Having this sort of deeply rooted connection with anyone must be hard to keep platonic. And the feeling that it is unacceptable for them in multiple ways to act on it. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY EXCEPT MY HEART ACHES FOR THEM.
