It has been nearly a year since I read any science fiction. I have been fascinated with this book since I saw its title. Mimetics, or the study of memory, has always amazed me. This book hinges towards science fiction horror, along the lines of Jeff Vandermeer. I read the first 80 or so pages in 30 minutes because I literally could not put it down. This is really top notch (and alarmingly plausible) sci-fi.
