one must boldly ask if the novel itself can be sold as sapphic horror when the sapphic character is the main character’s sister, with the mc otherwise is in deep heterosexual love with her sister’s husband. the sapphistry is by no means front and center. the horror is about what if your sister became possessed. that the sister is gay is like low on everyone’s priority list
