If this book doesn't make you want to never attempt to climb Mt. Everest I don't know what will. Also, I'm slightly (understatement) disturbed that there are pictures of Hall's body in the rock hollow described in the book online.

When I was told this book was slightly disturbing I wasn't expecting that.(I'm glad I didn't read that while I was working.) "For the next 48 hours, Silver, Hunt, and Litch took turns pumping oxygen into Ngawang's lungs with the ambu bag... When secretions built up... Down the Shepas throat, Hunt would suck the tub clear with her mouth... By mid-June Ngawang would be dead, leaving behind a wife and four daughters..."
