why is this book so angsty...!!! girl i thought this will be a silly goofy fun summer romance but now all i have is PAIN 💔. the angst and yearning is really good yes but did the universe just take delights in my suffering or what😫

I can't lie the thought of dnf did went through my mind, but I do have high hope for this one and I love ali too much. I'm going to switch to the ebook instead. hope it's worth it.
how I wish ali had gone for the narrators she previously worked with😭they were so great.
(omg i didnt notice u were talking about the actual voice i tot u meant the narrative voice i have actually not tried the audiobook oops) but this was a painful dnf for me too bcos i thought it’s ali, it can’t go too wrong right 😭😭😭 i think it’s the repetitive emphasis on age gap that did it for me,,,,,

But i do feel like the vibe is quite different from her other books.
