An Irish country girl refuses to eat beginning on the day of her 11th birthday. A Catholic nun and a nurse trained by Florence Nightingale are sent to watch the girl at every moment for two weeks, in an effort to determine if the girl’s behavior is a religious miracle or some sort of hoax.
