Uhhhh I hateeee. My grandma feeling like the best person on earth when she tells me she only eats meat 3-4 times a week

So many people around me are "trying to eat less meat" rn and acting exactly like that when they have me (and multiple other people in my extended social circle at school) as proof that just not eating animals really isn’t that hard 🫩 and then they always expect me to applaud them for eating meat substitutes once in a while

completely agree, but i think that in certain countries (especially Eastern Europe,) where non meat options are very strict & is kind of frowned upon? i mean, it wasn't until five years ago that i could find a vegetarian sandwich in the superstore here in france so it really does depend of the country and culture, but if its really easy to not eat meat in ur country i dont understand what the issue is for ur friend then lollll <3333

I’m German and while it definitely can be more difficult to find vegan options in the more rural area I live in, it’s mostly just an issue at restaurants 🙂‍↕️ vegetarian options are everywhere and most of the time there’s at least one or two vegan options as well. Just an issue of convenience usually.

germany is one of the most accessible countries for vegan/vege food in europe with scandinavia! you are lucky

I’ll genuinely be in vegan heaven when I move to Berlin next year 🤭
