perhaps the wrong vacation book but i’m doing this for book club w jawan ali babeyyy!!
plus mary oliver’s love for whitman, and that i’ve had it on my kindle for a while now.
some of these are bangers. some i do not get. should probably familiarize myself with whitman’s (historical?) context. my partner tells me civil war.
just got to book ii, which feels more consistently lucid than book i. me gusta.
