This was a very short novella that bridged books 2 and 3.. no real ending bc it continues into book 3. Established Avand & Hekla as another couple / storyline. Really like how the spice is tasteful and the worldbuilding so interesting (zombies! Evil mist! Nightmare woodland creatures!) and the narration is ofc excellent. Idk what to rate this.
