I love the concept of Gaia as a further evolution of the 2nd foundation, when the ‘mental powers’ of people are developed for an even longer stretch of generations. The explaination for a lack of aliens, the universe selected in the multiverse by robots or gods or whoever for humanity to live in, such an interesting concept.
