While waiting for my holds to come in, this seemed like an easy pick, since it was available on audio 😅 I won’t deny that I find these books entertaining (at least the OG trilogy) despite Feyre being annoying & the writing being… not that great 😅 This is my third time reading it, so jot that down as “guilty pleasure” I guess

Rereading this. Not quite sure why. Mostly so I can reassess. So far, I am noticing SJM’s lack of originality when it comes to her writing style way more than I did 8 years ago. It’s kinda ridiculous to realise that her vocabulary has always been this weak and she hasn’t grown as a writer in all that time. But I admit I’m hooked and it’s quite entertaining to read. But yikes, the toxic masculinity. 😐

Took you long enough to figure it out, Feyre, didn't it? Jeesh, for someone as resourceful as her I'd expected her to solve that riddle in minutes.

Rhys is such a dick. Ugh. As an atagonist he is brilliant, but as a character? Ew.

*sigh* Not as good as Heir of Fire, but damn this book is cute. It feels like a fluffy, smutty fanfic with a plot. But I wouldn't say no to some shared povs.

Lucien is the best (and funniest) wingman of all time and no one can convince me otherwise!

Of course I did not take Tilly's advice and wait in stead of starting this book right after finishing Heir of Fire... but I love Maas' style too much as to be patient. Loving Lucien the most right now.
