New techlogies must work to enhance human dignity and cultivate relationships.

Technologies are meant to faciliate humanity, not replace it.

AI is not smarter than human intelligence. AI doesn’t have realized emotions, skills, conclusions through any learned experience.

AI is not a morally neutral agent that can bear responsibility. LLMs can damage creativity, cognitive abilities, and sway people from human connection.

Human dignity doesn’t depend on status.

To love Jesus is to love our brothers and sisters.

The Church Social Doctrine argues to be actively involved in financial and political insitutions, not just abstract gospel.

These institutions cannot be neutral agents as they must promote dignity and cooperation from people over simply the purpose of profit and efficiency.

Democracy is advocated for by the Church as it promotes citizen participation with their own benefit as the priority. Work is dignity.

The Pope and the Catholic church warns of humans manufacturing hegemony through AI and creating a new Tower of Babel.

The Church may not remain silent on social matters as re affirmed by Pope Francis, but it is not to take the place of the state.

Something I loved to read was that not everything in humans needs to be fixed. Some limitations bear great fruit.
