why is everything important left-handed. i understand the "shafts of light" but why the left. help. this stumps me every time.

no because i’m literally right about this book. 60 years of scholarship and I’M correct.

i'm not a big rereader but i've done this one about 5 times. i love the way zooey's bathroom is absolutely identical in my brain every time, very similar to my bathroom in my childhood home except it's the 60s and they smoke and they're rich.

i love reading “franny” bc superficially it’s about a girl having a violent religious epiphany in a world full of shallow materialism. but if you’re in the know? you see the easter eggs! the salinger-verse! the marbles and the brothers and the buddhism!
