im sorry, but this plotline is ridiculous. it's a dystopia and the world has basically ended, yet they're all getting riled up over a dog being in trouble somewhere?? they're all gonna go out of their way and risk their lives because of a dog? the heroine and her daughter haven't even met the dog, they really should not care this much 🙄 i like dogs but it's ridiculous in this setting.

I honestly probably wouldn’t survive in a dystopian because I’d be worried about things like a dog 🤣. I think the author was just focused on cozy vibes vs some of the realism of that kind of situation though if it helps.

@RLbooks yeah it makes sense since there are also a lot of cats... it's a book heavy on animals haha i just definitely feel like the heroine is so so protective of her daughter that she should be refusing to risk her for this dog lol
@Snow, totally get this since I just DNF'd a book where the heroine was risking her job to save some fish from her office fish tank.I would want the heroine to be more worried about her daughter, too!
@Elizabeth hahaha ive read the book you're talking about!! and yeah, i guess we both need more realism when it comes to people's priorities
