very enjoyable!

I'm enjoying this, but I'm puzzled. In Swallowdale, I got the impression that Peter Duck was imaginary, the hero of a story made up by the children and Captain Flint. But this all seems very real, with mundane details like pajamas and cleaning one's teeth, and Peter Duck seems quite plausible, too.

I really like the drawings of the schooner, especially the one with the sails and ropes labelled. I wish all nautical fiction had pictures like that!
