I did enjoy the story the end end with a lot of questions unanswered
I like the world created the storytelling. I don’t see the biggest moral take away from the book alone. Beside that the purpose was that emotions are important. What else was to take away maybe I need a second book for that
I drew learning about the system of their world
Think I need a little bit more. It was a good time not bad

The book ends w/ Jonas making it to elsewhere
There’s this sled he saw in the 1st memory given to him, as if it was waiting for him, or for someone to come
As he is headed toward these houses. He knows that people are waiting for him and they’re waiting for the baby Gabe.
Who are these people? How does he know they’re waiting for him what happens after you get there, what happens with the community he left?

Jonas goes to plan his escape actually put into action. He takes his dad but because it has a baby carrier on any text Gabe with him so they won’t kill gabe Jonas is a real one. He understands that he understands laws. He knows what’s happening and because he knows better he’s trying to do better even though he’s 12 yrs old

Jones his dad tells him they gave the baby they’ve been watching was chosen to be released and that his dad even voted for the baby to be released knowing that he’s killing these children and throwing them in the trashcan. He’s OK with that I don’t think they have feelings such as remorse and emotions to deal with death in grief and loss properly.

Rosemary, the girl that was chosen b4 Jonas ,what they give his daughter
That means he had to give his daughter, pain and sadness and disappointment and war That means it is daughter that apply to be released. That means he watch his daughter inject yourself with a euthanasia shot the video he said he couldn’t watch, but he knows what happened to her. When he can leave the community, he wants to be with Rosemary.

So if someone leaves the community will feel the emotions that that person had in the last girl with the giver and she was released they had to deal with those emotions so now if Jonas leaves and he has been with a gift for entire year and all the things he’s got an experienced that would go into the community And giving them that history and emotions would help the community as people and relationships and growth

The giver Jonas plan a way for Jones to escape
If you wanna see Scott, he’ll be cute. He still agrees to go along with the plan because he doesn’t believe it’s worth it to stick around with me. He’s gonna have to hold everyone’s pain and sorrow and sadness and all the bad emotions and no one else ever knows what’s actually going on

There are multiple diff communities besides, the one that Jonas lives in other communities have their own rules. In Jones’s community people can be released. Peop can ask to be released babies who aren’t developing properly or released, elderly or released.
I thought they were just being excluded from the community but when Jonas watches his dad, prepare boots be released he gives them a shot and killed a baby

I’m one hour left an audiobook
And from where we are right now, I feel like it’s obviously gonna need a part two but I didn’t even know it was the second third fourth part to the series so what I know about the book likely was just that I watched the movie because the movie was produced as a standalone
