It's heart warming and scoff-then-giggle at Herr Schmidt's character development.

Glad to be back to this book and being close to finishing. Working with the elderly, this gives me further perspective of maybe why the husband's of my patients act the way they do when their wife is no longer able to.....serve them due to age and illness.
