My husband is an author and I edited his book that just came out. It really is very taxing and exhausting, you wouldn't expect it to be that way. I was rewriting sentences for him to flow better, making suggestions about layout changes, finding grammatical issues, it was a lot. I sure as fuck counted it towards my reading goal this year
