Aha! At the opening of “The Musgrave Ritual,” Holmes has just become untidy and prone to setting off guns indoors, after existing for ~7 years with unmentioned un/tidiness status (but a tendency to cross-index as a quiet evening amusement which had bent the original depiction toward organization).
