cool world building and fun characters… but the cast is definitely bloated and there are some parts that would read better as an essay than fiction. i think this author would have benefitted from letting the story speak for itself—trusting the audience to understand—and not referencing things in footnotes or in narration. it’s good and important information but is a bit jarring at times. enjoying this tho.
