I've never picked up his work before, so when I found out they were a children's author (works that I've heard of just never was interested in at the time) I was well...bewildered. I love this kind of rambling yet delightful prose about something that is anything but. It reads like how I get myself to write, it feels like something I want to write. Fuck dark fantasy and politics, I want this.
