Erik Mok made me feel everything that Kai felt. All the heartbreak, all the grief, all the sadness, all the weariness. It made my heart ache at the pain of it, and it made my soul glad for the beauty of the words, and it made my spirit soar at the immensity of his talent.

Erik Mok's performance and narration, esp his portrayal of Kai. Fabulous and I am so in love with Kai, but also so sad for him.

Finally, figured out what's going on and am now loving the story. The writing is marvelous.

It took a while for me to get into the story. It's complicated esp since I was listening to it in audio. Took some research and googling to figure out who's who and what's what.

My next audiobook to get a break from the last series I'm listening to. This has an under 4* rating here, but I'm going to take a chance because (1) it's Martha Wells and I know she's a good writer, and (2) I've been wanting to try something of hers that's not Murderbot Diaries.
