It's not at the same level as Walt Mosley stories and a bit tedious. Walt creates characters with unique qualities and often contradict the stereotypes. Ide on the other hand fails in this area and overuses back story. It started off well but it's not what I'd hoped for

In many respects it's typical of PI stories and most involve finding someone. IQ takes a new case from a female artist whose mother disappeared and offers him a painting in exchange.

An Asian author whose narrative style is similar to Walter Mosley. The character called IQ reminds me of Easy Rawlins. Dabs of humor mixed with ghetto speak and a plot that involves money stolen from a drug dealer. I like his style and pacing
