Im trying to think of what part ur referring. I did enjoy this book but yeah I feel like the physical was so much more emphasized than character and such like the first book. I did like it, but there were def parts that weren’t the most comfortable for me to read.
I’ve noticed that with her MMCs unfortunately, I’m not sure if I want to read this one if it’s from a guy’s POV
@ChildOfGod, when she fell through the ice, and he brought her to his room so she could change and then he started thinking of her half dressed lying on his bed. I’m definitely disappointed with how physical this book has been, and not very Christian like.
@Lily Jane, Yeah! This is the first one I’ve read from her that’s an MMC, and I’m definitely disappointed. I know men focus on beauty and all that, but I feel like it’s not ALL they think about. The romance was definitely better in the first books in this series.
I just keep saying that Pepper Basham's books have shallow Christian themes. It normalizes sin by using a character that says that reads the Bible but does nothing that matches that "reading" they do. I read the first book of this series, and I understood where the author stood and stopped there.
@Jannia, Yep! I 100% agree with everything you said. It didn’t really bother me in the first two books, but this one is so physical and lustful😭
