The destruction of the "valuable" cupid figurine has been discovered. Poor Jasper gets massaged like old bread dough every time our narrator doesn't know how to respond. So he's really in for a beating when Maxim calls Mrs Danvers in to get to the bottom of this drama and won't let Miss Thing run away to escape her mortification.
