im trying so hard not to cry while reading at work but the chapter on the victim’s families is about to break me

i love that henning compared hiphop to country to show the hypocrisy white america displays. i feel a lot of the time people try to pit hiphop and rock/metal against each other when the reactions to the lyrics are relatively similar. country is viewed as the white man’s music so i felt like that was fitting. this is a great read so far
