I actually really like this book so far. It seems Thornton has captured the grey and pain of these women's lives in dark, grimy London with a touch of romance and further hope. I like it! Especially when compared with Empress Theodora which was far too dark and cruel for me. What can I say, I am a huge Shelley fan and keep picturing Elle Fanning in the Mary Shelley movie. It reminds me of that, just more detailed.
