this is a controversial book. historically people love it, even a movie was made featuring the late robert redford just a couple years ago. yet many of the recent comments discuss mr bill bryson’s lack of preparation and condescension towards other on the trail (tough mix). i decided to continue reading (despite katie’s suggestion). the audiobook makes bill bryson’s worse qualities stand out.
