So her mom wasn’t dead after all, but she had literally replaced her. She had a whole new child with someone else and named that girl Annie Kay also. Ani spent her whole life looking for a woman that did not care about her and moved on and replaced her with another child +2. My heart hurts for her and the marriage between Franklin Vernice feels very weak and fake. I also don’t like Franklin‘s mama.

Annie and Bobo was unexpected but makes sense. I was actually bothered that Vernice lost her bags behind the bus situation so the white passing cousin (Marylinda) helping her get them back was a nice touch.
