My feelings towards this book are seesawing so often that it is hard to know how I’ll even feel about the overall experience until the very end. As of now: equally heartbroken and annoyed. With, perhaps, the tiniest bit of respect sandwiched between both extremes.

Oh my gosh, that was a delicious section I just devoured. I must concede, this book is unreasonably looooong! I put in the time and barely manage to move the needle—if that. Well, at least I’m enjoying myself. Honestly, I could be having a considerably worse time (2025, may you never return).

Earlier today, I found myself pessimistically mourning my lack of adoration for these popular books. Why can’t I be in the loop? Why am I being made to look like a tryhard hater?
Well. Whilst I still have my issues, I have significantly warmed up to this book. I basically read the entire afternoon and it was absolutely delightful! Ah, on to more promising horizons!

This is much more goofy and gimmicky than I thought it would be. (What in the Divergent are these houses?!) God so help me I don’t like Cain and apparently he’s coming back—as a love interest, no less!😭
