Initially not that into it, but it’s reminding me of Poet Empress which I’ll always love dearly. Maybe politics can become my thing, who knows?
Also a unique take on “immortal” characters, which is refreshing to say the least.

*Divergent Factions intensify*

This is much more goofy and gimmicky than I thought it would be. (What in the Divergent are these houses?!) God so help me I don’t like Cain and apparently he’s coming back—as a love interest, no less!😭

Wow, I’m starting to hate the FMC.

A delightful change from Smoke and Scar. I’m such a sucker for a cosy fantasy.

The prose is reeeeeeeally not good. If this queen could use more “ands” and (😉) markedly decrease her characters’ melodramatic redundant ramblings, I would be very grateful.
Furthermore, the FMC is painfully unfunny yet everyone guffaws with abandon. It’s making me sick.

Well. It’s a Romantasy (capital R) and I’m still reading. Shocked doesn’t begin to cover it.

I went from earnest enjoyment to vehement hatred. I predicted this “plot twist” and I’m not even a little bit proud. I’m so jaded I would honestly DNF if I weren’t so close to being done with the thing.

I’m getting into it, I must say.

Ok, we’re moving again.

This is PAINFUL to read. Not because it’s bad, but for the exact opposite reason. I don’t want this series to end!
Moreover, I have this sickening feeling that Dom or someone else is going to die. It’s downright agonising to turn the pages and I just don’t know if I’ll survive the Epilogue.
I’m telling you, my throat is so tight and I feel on the verge of tears AGAIN. Why must I suffer so?!

I’m so engulfed in this entire saga that I really thought I had to deal with looking at one of my last sunsets. Oi wei, this is why I read cosy fantasy damnit.

This is what life is about. Triumphantly whooping despite clichés.
I honestly feel like making a melodramatic corny speech about the joys of reading. This book is making me embarrass myself.
