I’ve decided not to be annoyed anymore (jury is still out on how successful that might be). I’m giving it till 40% before tossing it. It seems that Riven is my kryptonite, but I’m determined to *attempt* to overlook her in order to enjoy the plot as best I can.

My stomach is in knots… my throat feels all weird.
So highly tempted to skip forward. What is this story doing to me?! I love it.😭

I swear, if 10-20 melodramatic/saccharine lines were cut, it would’ve been a 5. It’s still amazing though! Genuinely surprised, since that synopsis is terrible (a running theme with some of my favourite books).
