This is giving me such strong Daughter of Smoke and Bones vibes because of Chiron / Brimstone being the reluctant caregiver of a young unruly girl.

The premises are nothing alike but I still can’t help but compare the two! Ironically as I see Laini Taylor actually blurbed the book.

Really good so far. I don’t understand the poor ratings.
