Oh my god. This chapter is nuts. The way Valancy’s uncle is basically excited and waiting for Cissy to die is psycho and Valancy’s mother thinking it would be easier to bear if her child had died not knowing the truth. Oh my goodness this is insane. Also Jehovah’s name being in a novel is really cool

So glad she’s not taking her family’s crap anymore and I’m excited to see where this goes!
