So is Dungeon Crawler Carl the new must read? Because I'm looking for an amazing fantasy / sci fi / etc book that changes or adds something to genre it is for. Like HP was for YA fantasy? Hunger Games was for YA dystopia. What is our new popular series of current?

It’s super fun and entertaining and has some sharp ideas animating it as well. And it’s tightly plotted and cleanly written.

I love the series. It introduced me to the LitRPG subgenre of fantasy, which I discovered that I love. The series is irreverent and hilarious, and I’d definitely recommend reading at least the first book if it at all sounds interesting to you.
