I spent the last several chapters discussing this situation reading angrily like “this is so stupid, so stupid, I hate when books do this, ughhhh, so disappointed but this is what I get for reading a book written by a MAN” (as if most of my favorite books aren’t 😂) and then this PLOT TWIST got me good. Omg

I’m getting worried we won’t be having any more villain asides for the rest of this book, I should have known it was too good to last when we had birkart kicking down konrad’s door mid-threesome and then burrito mode wallcreeper + binge drinking Konrad later. That’s simply too much fun antics and not enough boring battle maneuvers to keep getting screentime I guess
