I would love to say I'm enjoying it but the flaws in the writing and character work are starting to overshadow the great unsettling atmosphere 🥲
(also, could Vilda's eyes stop sparkling and glittering? For someone who's supposed to be this quiet, strongly manipulative character, she does nothing but exist and sparkle 🙈)

Trent's voice managed to break through when it rose above the rest to state in a clear and carrying voice that, if she did kill her baby, she should be arrested. And punished.

...aah. Anti-abortion laws now fully implemented. Now I understand the "a (should be) dystopian" 🙈 Very close to where we're all currently heading...

I think the problem, my problem, started when I cast her as the Love Interest in the Coming of Age drama of my life. Confirmation bias did the rest. That's why it took me so long to see her for what she really was, and what I was becoming because of her...Now, here we are. Watching the world burn.[...] All because I fell in love with the antagonist of my own story.

What an opener, damn!! 👀

melina I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, love. Hopefully the rest of the story still has some good bits❤️🥺

The Reading Frog Oh :( That sucks.
It's always worse when a book has potential but doesn't fully live up to it instead of just outright being a bad book 😩 Hopefully those last 90 pages still have something to offer you.

Also, is this Vilda?

Aw thank you, lovely 🥺❤️ My anxious mood might also be at fault a bit but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the last third of the book, I still don't know where we're heading 🙏

Thank you, my dear, exactly like that 😭 It's absolutely not bad but I can see how it could've been incredible 🥲 You're right, though, I still have the last third so we'll see where it's going! ❤️
AHAHA omg yes actually, that's apparently Vilda 🤣🤣 Thank you for that, I don't feel so grumpy anymore about it 🤣🐸

Gabriela Im sorry it’s not hitting the mark so far, writing and character development make all the difference. Hope you get some enjoyment on the end 🫶🏼🤞🏼

Evie lol if you needed to convince me the writing was undercooked an over abundance of sparkling eyes is a sure fire way to do it ahahahahaha

Youssra (semi ia) those are the eyes of a killer bella

I agree, the character work should be pivotal here and it's just not up to par what to story could've been 🥺 Thank you sm, Gabriela ❤️

Ahaha right? 😅 Like, the writing is good, nicely done, but there are a few things that just continue to bring it down, I wonder if the author even has an editor of if she's working on it alone, I'll have to check later. One more time of glittery sparkly eyes and I'll make a drinking game out of it lol
