Good plot but it feels very slow moving..also, genuine question:Clary Fray, WHY ARE YOU SO DIM? And Jace:Why are you so fricken annoying and unpleasant? Church the cat is more likeable than you. And Magnus Bane:Why are you so annoying when you’re cool in TID? And Clary(again):Why do you like Jace when he’s so unpleasant? And Alec Lightwood:You are literally the only likeable person in this book. It’s ok so far

Really close to the end now! The romance stuff just got even more concerning. Loads of action in these last few chapters. But the person reading the bokk(as it’s on audiobook) is not very good at it-they make the book fet p quote slow paced and arent very good at doing different voices etc. Hopefully will be finishing this book in the next few days.

The plot has finally properly got going after loads of boring, unnecessary scenes and a few glimpses of the plot. Not at all invested in the romance, though. Jace is so stereotypical, and Clary is sooo dim. Can’t really believe this was written by the incredible Cassandra Clare who invented the brilliant Dark Artifices amend the really good(so far Infernal Devices.
