these past chapters have been a pain to get through, like hobb’s worldbuilding is so cool until she starts ranting endlessly about some huge magical scene that just makes no sense and is only further troubled with her long and somehow still vague descriptions. one moment I think I know what’s happening, and then she adds some other detail and I’m like ok wtf am I reading and where are we??

I’m slightly scared right now

whenever I start a new chapter and find it’s about “the tangle” I die a little

y’all don’t understand how I’m stressing rn, like I need to finish this tome before august, bc ain’t no way I’m counting this in my august wrap up, I actually refuse. with that being said, I officially have a new favourite ship which is the rarest occurrence for me so I’m quite ecstatic about that
