107-113 this is why I’d rather read horror than this stuff. Now I’m crying because I pitied Nastenka and the guy, then when she finally agreed to love him and think of their future together and forget the lodger.
Right at the end of their night when he wanted her to look at the cloud crept on the moon, she’s frozen still because idiot lodger “Nastenka! Nastenka! it’s you!” Makes a year late appearance…

“I’d love you so that you’d never feel the burden of my love in any way”

N: “Please don’t cry I don’t want you to cry…I may have something to tell you, now that he’s abandoned me though I still love him”…

“Wait I think I should leave u in peace and go”

N: “stop listen to me, could u wait”

“What for?”

N: “I love him but it’ll pass”

Oh. Great Nastenka. Great.

“You are better than he is, even though I do
love him more." Oh shut up lady. You barely knew the lodger.
“It seems to me that you are sacrificing something for Me” no he’s choosing to listen to you speak about the guy you so dearly love, whilst he so dearly loves you and helps reunite you with the lodger.

I’m on page 81 of 113. Idk why this apps version is numbered differently.
But ohh how I dislike Nastenka now, he so evidently liked her. And she’s giving him the worst mixed signals ever.

Her story is so sad, she’s bound to her grandmother and her only chance out was with the lodger who she so patiently awaited. Poor Nastenka. Personally I would’ve just stopped listening to my grandma omg.
I thought This book was going to bore me but not at all. I can’t wait to read the rest of the other books atp

Yayyy it’s my favourites turn on her life story, but I’m gonna zzz because 12am and headache so bad and I’m craving a tomato base soup with coriander.
Okay maybe I’ll experiment with shorba hamra and coriander.

He tells her abt how he lived his life of loneliness all in his mind, and he was afraid shd laugh at the courage he built to say it, n instead she asks him
“Have you really lived like that all your life?” N when he said that’s how he might have to live on, she objected n said it mustn’t be so, and asked if he knew that it’s not right at all to live like that”
And he cried as he told her he does…

I like it. Not love it, but it’s nice. I like the girls character, Nastenka. She reminds me of myself alot with how she acts and responds.
