this book is called in the garden of beasts which implies that the people in the garden are innocents witnessing the rise of nazi germany, but in actuality the woman in this book (a Real Person BTW) is sleeping with NAZIS and isn’t that put off by it. i understand this may be the product of their time (& showing nazi sympathizers high up in american government) but gee whiz baby!
