*Spoilers in comments* A very interesting and fun mystery set in Oxford UK. The story covers deputy inspector Bridget Hart, and her first major case. Overall, the plot line was interesting, there were a lot of fun twists and turns, as well as a pretty decent plot twist at the end. I liked the book and would read others of the series

In short, we find out that Zach and his twin sister Zara were having an intimate love affair. Zach’s girlfriend Verity found out about it, but wanted to continue seeing Zach. Zara got jealous and basically blackmailed Zach into getting back with her and ditching verity. This made verity, super upset, because Zach was basically going in a direction where he could’ve been Prime Minister of the country. So she ended up killing Zara that night after a meeting that she went to. What Verity did not know, however is that there was a homeless girl sitting in Zara‘s bedroom who watched her killed Zara. That homeless person then blackmailed verity to try and make a lot more money. Verity then killed the homeless girl. We find out that she is the culprit at this very formal event at Oxford at the end of the book. Verity had taken the youngest sister Zoe up to the top of the clock tower in order to threaten her because she was the one that spoke to the deputy and basically let her know that Zach and Zara were having a relationship. Verity attempts to throw herself off the clock tower, but she’s caught by one of the deputy inspectors sergeants. She’s been arrested. At the end of the book, the deputy inspector might have a potential love interest named Jonathan.

The overall highlights of the book are basically finding out that Zara had a twin brother named Zach and a younger sister named Zoe. The father is a very wealthy and well-known man of status, and he was going to pay a lot of money to turn a nearby homeless shelter into more housing for Oxford. Zara, the one who passed away, also had a love affair with one of her teachers assistants. She also recently broke up with her boyfriend, Adam, because they didn’t come from the same social status or circle. She also worked very intimately with the homeless population because she took part in a lot of liberal viewpoints and ideologies.
